Putting it together: practice, hands-on work, Q&A
Now it’s your turn! Take some time this afternoon to practice and get comfortable with Git and GitHub. Here are some ideas to get you started:
Create a GitHub repository for an existing project
Practice creating a clone, fork, or branch of the PDB collaborations repo
Put the last piece of code that you shared via email on GitHub (no passwords or login info!)
Create a README file for one of your repositories, use the preview feature online to verify the formatting before committing
Make a list of ways that you want to start using GitHub more for 1) your own individual projects and 2) the branch
